Bucket List: Visit The Tallest Building On Each Continent

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about places to visit and things that I want to do in my life. I’ve already outlined my list of doing the island hopper service that United offers from Hawaii to Guam, with an upcoming trip I’m taking to New York I’ve added something new to my list.

Written down on my bucket list now is something common but always changing, visiting the tallest buildings on each continent. While I may not visit every single one of these in my lifetime I have a couple that I absolutely want to see and are of particular interest to me.

Burj Khalifa (Dubai, United Arab Emirates)

At the time of this article this is currently the tallest building in world, so it goes without saying that this would be at the top of almost everyone’s list to go see and walk around. The property that it sits on is enormous with massive pools of water shows, lights everywhere, and amazing views.

One World Trade Center (New York, New York)

Sitting where the World Trade Center used to stand this is a patriotic symbol for the United States and an amazing landmark. Sitting above New York City it’s the tallest structure in North America and provides some great views from its 102nd floor observation deck.

Federation Tower (Moskva, Russia)

With all the heated tensions between Russia and the United States this may not be something that I might visit. Its architecture is very appealing and offers an opportunity to dine at the tallest restaurant in Russia with the 61st floor having a full restaurant.

Q1 (Queensland, Australia)

Australia as a country is a place that I would like to have more time to visit. The Q1 tower is the largest on the island country and gives you a vast view over the Gold Coast. The observation deck gives a fantastic view of the coastline as well as the city that surrounds it.

Gran Torre Costanera (Santiago, Chile)

This is probably one of the most beautiful places that I would like to visit. It has massive mountains bordering the landscape which proves for some great landscape views. Towering high up above the rest of the buildings its an imposing figure in the town.

Jeddah Tower (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia)

Jeddah Tower is still under construction with a rough 2020 completion date but it will become the world’s tallest building at the time of its completion standing far above even the Burj Khalifa. It will surely be a fine attraction to visit when it opens up, although I’m not sure how good the views would be looking over miles of sand.
