Starwood is sending out a new round of targeted offers, these range from boosted Starpoints to earning Elite Nights quicker. These targeted offers are linked to your Starwood account number and will depend upon what offer is linked to your account.
My personal Starwood account got targeted for 7,500 bonus Starpoints after two stays (2,500 after the first stay and 5,000 after the second stay). Some others have reported being offered 2X the Elite Nights for stays through the end of October. Other data points have also reported the 7,500 bonus Starpoints offer but after four stays.
The offer that I got targeted for seems to be one of the best ones you can pull out if you’re interested in Starpoints which are very valuable. Most point chasers value the Starpoint very high, usually around 2.0 cents to 2.5 cents per point, which is above the norm of around 1.0 cents to 1.5 cents per point for most other programs.
If you’re focused on elite status earning double elite-qualifying nights is one of the best ones to get. Due to Marriott’s purchase of Starwood if you earn elite status with Starwood you also get cross over status with Marriott and Ritz-Carlton status which only increases the value of elite status.
