The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is an incredible aircraft made with revolutionary materials that increase passenger comfort. Watch how Boeing lays carbon fiber strips like tape on the shell of a 787 to build up layers and create the fuselage of the aircraft.

The 787 is an incredible aircraft that has changed up aviation for generations to come. The carbon fiber fuselage allows for the cabin altitude to be much lower than a normal airliner. Carbon fiber doesn’t stretch and expand like aluminum which aids in the lower cabin altitude. Metal stretches and expands a little bit each time it’s pressurized aiding to metal fatigue which is why cabin altitude is kept much higher.

Additionally because the aircraft isn’t made out of metal the humidity can be increased making you feel less dried out and tired at your destination. The 787 is built for long haul flying, which means you’ll be spending more time in the aircraft and extended exposure to low humidity and higher cabin altitudes can leave you tired at your destination. This is the biggest selling point of the aircraft, passengers will be more comfortable and airlines will increase profits.

I’m a huge fan of the 787, it’s what all future aircraft should be made out of and where airlines should go in the future. Who doesn’t want to feel refreshed after a long flight? I’m ready for the future of air travel of more comfortable and refreshing flights.
